Location: Chicago, IL Project Value: $4,909,450.00-Gen 2/2a - ($433,909.00-elevator cost) Details: The Chicago Housing Authority’s scope of work was to renovate and modernize the 6 story Loyola Ridge Apartments. All of the 180 tenant units and common areas were renovated, converting 18 existing units into ADA dwelling units. All necessary repairs and upgrades were performed to the building’s mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems including installation of an emergency generator, new fire protection equipment and a new fire protection system in the trash chute and compactor room. Building façade restoration and site upgrades. Renovation of tenant units included, but was not limited to, new flooring, complete kitchen remodel, complete ADA bathroom remodel and partial bathroom remodel in all other units, new windows, and interior and entrance doors. New security system and new trash enclosures were also provided. The scope of work also included elevator restoration including installation of new machines, and associated components. A new A/C system was provided in the elevator machine room.
